In high school Robert Rickman ate, slept, and breathed broadcasting, and spent as much time working on campus radio station WRHS as he spent in class. Robert then attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, one of the top radio and TV schools in the country. He spent his free times on the air at student station WIDB and WSIU radio and TV. Then came commercial broadcasting at WRAJ radio in Anna, Il.
Robert spent decades working in radio and TV in Illinois, Iowa, California and Tennessee. Among the high points of Robert’s broadcasting career, was the news director and evening anchor positions on two TV stations in California.
And so the years went by until Robert Rickman looked at himself in the mirror and spotted some gray hair.
