The Problem:
Is finding a job where I can write my new novel, and keep up with my two websites and three Facebook pages, in addition to: Instagram, Twitter, Google, and something else which I forgot. I also want to get some exercise, spend most of my time in the Great Outdoors, and get paid reasonably well. Oh, and I’ll also do what my employer wants me to do. That’s important too.
I can sense the disdainful looks up and down the web.
So let’s break this down. I don’t think I’ll ever want to fully retire, and I could do with a little extra cash each month to supplement my social security, and IRA. I also want to write another novel, and get paid for writing it right now.
Using a cliche that was unquestionably coined inside a cubicle, I needed to “think outside the box.”
Now here is the tricky part. I can’t tell you what I do, where I work, or who I work for. But I can write about the job in general terms and go into quite some detail about my none-work related activities while on the job, which we will call…
BLACK OPS
We wear black, and work beside the police to prevent truck hijacking by organized crime at a certain facility in the Mid South. That’s the job. I met with Mr. Big about two years ago, because I have had some experience in this field, and I told him exactly what I wanted to do on-the-job, when I wasn’t actually working. (Read that last sentence a couple of times and it will eventually make sense.) Mr. Big hired me.
Now the extracurricular activities:

But it’s not all barbecues and kite flying.
Yet it suits me, because I can get of a lot of work done in the 24-hours that I’m out here during the weekend. Whether it be Palm Beach sunny, or Mason City frigid, and despite rain, sleet, hail or snow, the Blog will go on.
Now it’s time to research propane heaters, because Fall is only a few weekends away.
